Message from The Center Director

Hello, everyone.

I am Toru Kitayama, Center Director of Wakayama International Exchange Center.

I look forward to meet you all.

At Wakayama International Exchange Center, foreigners who live in Wakayama prefecture can study at our Japanese Classes. If you have any problems in your daily life, you can consult at us, as we have Consultation for Foreign Residents. We would like to support foreigners to live comfortably.

We also hold events to introduce foreign culture, lifestyle and cuisines, and where Japanese and foreigners living in Wakayama can interact with each other. This is an event where Japanese and foreigners can understand each other.

Since 2020, COVID-19 has continued. I am very disappointed that we cannot have many chances to get together. From now on, we would like to hold many events as possible, taking care not to get infected with corona.

I hope that many people, both Japanese and foreigners living in Wakayama, will use our center. And I also hope to deepen our understanding with each other. Together, we would like to create a livable and workable Wakayama for everyone.

Please visit our center. We are all waiting for you.
