The Reference Library has approximately 7,000 books for both foreign and Japanese readers, including novels in Japanese and foreign languages, world language introductory books, books on Japanese-language education, books that introduce world culture, documents on studying abroad and foreign travel, and documents about multicultural society. There are also comics (including those in foreign languages) and picture books from foreign countries. Migration and international cooperation sections are also available. Books can be lent out to residents and workers in Wakayama.
